ABSTRACT After cerebrovascular accident (CVA), people have complex combinations of sensory, motor, cognitive, and emotional deficits, which can affect static dynamic balance. This study aimed to compile summarize the main features findings protocols used in research that investigated effects muscle tendon vibration on balance adults with stroke. is a systematic review, registered PROSPERO (CRD42022303874), searches were performed databases PubMed, Cochrane, LILACS, SciELO, MEDLINE, Science Direct, PEDro, during month January 2022, using combination keywords related “stroke,” “balance,” “muscle vibration,” “randomized controlled trial.” Methodological quality was assessed PEDro scale. A total 1,560 studies identified, 11 included, between years 1994 2020, involving 242 post-stroke adults. Only five as an intervention found improvement Six analyzed interference postural control, showing affected application individuals needed more time recover or did not experience significant differences. We may be able improve stroke influence control by proprioceptive mechanisms vibration. However, high methodological are reach consensus regarding treatment their recommendation clinical practice.
